Appointed as new global educator.

Aveda appointed Janell Geason to the position of global educator, Aveda Makeup. She will join the Global Technical Education Team, reporting to Jeff Saylor, executive director technical education for Aveda. Geason is a longtime mentor and educator in the Aveda network. “We are delighted to add Janell’s world class technical ability and sincere commitment to the environment to the Aveda team,” says Saylor. “Her wealth of creative experience and innate understanding of the professional beauty industry make her a natural fit.” Geason will oversee technical education for Aveda Makeup, including curriculum development and implementation; the Aveda Makeup Purefessional team of in-field educators; as well as the Aveda Freelance Advisor group. She will collaborate with research and development, marketing and design teams to bring new products and imagery to market. Geason began her career at the Horst Cosmetology School in Minneapolis, MN,nearly 25 years ago and has worked within the Aveda network since.
